The room key of Les Suites Orient, Bund Shanghai doubles as a transport card in Shanghai. Guests can use it to take a taxi, subway and or even a ferry. It is the first service of its kind at a Shanghai hotel.
The hotel deposits a certain amount of money in the smart keycard and calculates the transport expenses along with room fees upon checkout.
